SAN CRISTOBAL FROM HAVANA
The original name with which the city of Havana was baptized when it was founded in 1519 was San Cristóbal de La Habana. San Cristobal in honor of the saint of the day the city was founded, and Havana by the Indian name of the place.

The San Cristóbal de La Habana brand was launched in 1999 as a tribute to the long history of the City, at the dawn of the new Millennium.

It hit the market for the first time with a range of four vitolas, whose names correspond to the fortresses located in the city, built between the 16th and 18th centuries by the Spanish to defend the plaza from possible attacks: El Morro, La Fuerza , La Punta and El Principe.

El Morro and La Fuerza correspond to vitolas de galera that are only present in this brand. In 2004, the brand name was expanded with Mercaderes, Oficios and Murallas, which are names of well-known streets in the historic center of the city, Old Havana.

All vitolas are made Totally by Hand with Long Filler, with filler leaves and binder from the Vuelta Abajo area. They are characterized by having a blend of mild to medium flavor.
